After several years in which product development was closely linked to graphic definition and digital reproduction capabilities, the focus now appears to be shifting towards surfaces with greater depth, character and tactile richness.

Stone, clay, cement and mineral-inspired materials are gaining prominence, supported by warmer and more natural palettes: sand, beige, earthy tones, soft whites and mineral shades. At the same time, we are seeing more reliefs, controlled imperfections, contrasts between matt and glossy finishes, and surfaces that interact with light in increasingly sophisticated ways.

There is an interesting paradox behind this evolution: the more technology advances, the more natural and handcrafted the final product seeks to appear. New digital tools make it possible to reproduce variation, depth and subtle detail with remarkable precision, yet the ultimate goal is no longer to showcase the technology itself, but rather to make it almost invisible.

The market is moving towards ceramics that feel more sensory, warmer and more refined, where design, technology and materiality come together to create surfaces with greater personality and authenticity.
